Our 9,000 square foot facility was opened in August 1997 and includes two surgery suites, an intensive care/recovery room and an isolation ward for infectious disease cases (to protect other pets). All efforts have been made to make our facility as modern as possible.
Our surgical facilities are well-equipped to handle nearly all types of general as well as orthopedic surgery. Various types of patient monitors are available and are routinely employed to monitor our patient's physiologic condition during surgery. A surgical technician is always in attendance to administer and control anesthesia and assist the surgeon. We have a consulting relationship with internal medicine and surgical specialist to handle special cases, if necessary.
We have a separate radiology (X-ray) room with automatic film processing. At least once a month a radiology specialist comes to our hospital to review patient x-rays. Our facility provides this as a benefit for our clientele and patients. Ultrasound procedures are performed by two of our doctors on staff. We additionally have a flexible endoscope that further enhances the ability for our own doctors to do diagnostic procedures that are minimally invasive.
